  • 1985 – Finished restoration of the 45th Infantry Armory as a museum for Edmond

  • 2008 – In collaboration with the Edmond Historical Society began hosting territorial school day experiences for public, private and homeschooled students

  • 2009 – Prepared National Register of Historic Places plaques for Edmond’s historic American Legion Hut and the Kivlehen House
  • 2009 – Installed 25-foot flag pole in 1889 schoolhouse yard and flew flag from U.S. Capitol
  • 2010 – Territorial schoolhouse named the city’s number one attraction by “The Edmond Sun”
  • 2010 – Became only the 22nd one-room schoolhouse in the United States added to the Country School Association of America’s National Registry
  • 2010 – Created website www.edmondhistoricaltrust.com
  • 2010 – Printed first edition of “The History of Edmond’s 1889 Schoolhouse” with funding from Edmond Women’s Club
  • 2011 — Received Preservation Oklahoma’s award for continuing preservation (Urban Public Sector)
  • 2012 – Established “Friends of the Trust” to train and provide docent volunteers for EHPT activities
  • 2013 – Began Gracelawn Cemetery tours as an annual event to recognize historic Edmond people
  • 2014 – Awarded Letter of Commendation to Edmond Public Schools for the restoration and preservation of the second oldest school building in the city as the Boulevard Academy
  • 2014 – Produced “Edmond Historic Sites Map Walking & Driving Tour”
  • 2014 – Began conducting “Downtown Walking Tours” to explain history of buildings and local business personalities
  • 2014 – Partnering with Edmond’s Visual Arts Commission, installed two bronze statues “New Height of Knowledge” to mark the 125th anniversary of Edmond and the 1889 schoolhouse
  • 2015 – Received the “Award of Merit” from the Edmond Convention and Visitors Bureau
  • 2015 – In cooperation with Citizens Bank placed a historical marker at the location of Edmond’s 1911 trolley station
  • 2016 – Identified 31 houses in the downtown area that were more than 100 years old and were deserving of preservation
  • 2017 – Provided a series of articles about local historic structures for publication in Edmond’s “Life and Leisure” newspaper
  • 2018 – In a joint effort with UCO’s Women’s Research Center began providing specialized programs on under-represented historic groups
  • 2020 – Began a sustained effort to recognize and provide maintenance assistance to the pioneer African-American Gower Cemetery
  • 2020 – Completed last installation of the phased replacement of historical plaques in the core downtown area
  • 2021 – Published the “Historical Plaques of Downtown Broadway – Main Street to 2nd Street”
  • 2021 – Added “street sign toppers” to recognize four historic Edmond neighborhoods.  They were Original Downtown Townsite, E.B. Townsend Addition, Classen Addition and Capitol View Addition. 

  • 2022 – Recognized the Samuel King Chapter of the National Daughters of the American Revolution as a Key Supporter of the EHPT.

  • 2023 – Launched Centennial House recognition program with presentation of bronze plaque to Robert Rice for his house at 304 E. Second.
