Living History Program

The Edmond Historic Preservation Trust, in partnership with the Department of History and Geography and the Women’s Research Center at the University of Central Oklahoma, present a new living history program about the lives of female teachers at the 1889 Territorial Schoolhouse. You will learn about boarding schools within the territories and the years of assimilation policies for Native American students. This program focuses on the adult learner and will examine the day to day lives of educators in Oklahoma. The tour runs Thursdays at 6 pm.
