CENTENNIAL HOUSES IN EDMOND, OKLAHOMA

Since its inception in 1982, the Edmond Historic Preservation Trust (EHPT) has worked
to retain the history and heritage of this city. Special efforts were made to recognize the
historical significance of many of the key commercial structures in Edmond’s original core area.
Now, the EHPT is expanding those efforts to include residential houses in our city that are at
least 100 years old.

Members of the Trust believe pride of ownership of these historic homes is important to our heritage and to individual family history. Family homes are symbols not only of the environment, economy, styles and architecture of the times but represent an individual’s place of stewardship, stability, security and growth. All residences tend to be a family’s greatest investment in resources and time and are a part of that family’s development.

Accordingly, current homeowners of these family heritage sites in Edmond are invited to visit the EHPT website (www.edmondhistoricaltrust.com) and apply for official
recognition.

Each application that is approved are eligible for an Edmond Historic Preservation Trust
plaque to be affixed near the front door of the house. Houses so recognized will provide historic
pride for the current owners and the appreciation of the neighbors and citizens of Edmond.
